MENTORING LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES

Sandra is passionate about giving back to her community in a variety of ways, including as a certified SCORE Mentor actively engaged as a volunteer mentoring small businesses helping them to start up, grow or transition.

As small businesses, we are the engine of the economy. In terms of job creation, wealth creation, legacy creation for our families, and, as a woman of color, it’s important to help our communities build that legacy and build that wealth that has been missing from our communities for so long.  #IMentorBecause

United Communities Against Poverty, Inc (@UCAPPGC)

On Friday, December 3rd, 2021, LPR International’s President & CEO, Sandra Marley, was pleased and excited to deliver 20 Empowerment Coats to Rasheeda Jamison-Harriott, President & CEO of United Communities Against Poverty, Inc (@UCAPPGC). These amazing coats are made by the homeless for the homeless. They are waterproof and windproof and convert from a coat to a sleeping bag. When not required to be used as a sleeping bag or a coat it can be folded into itself and carried like a back pack. LPR International selected UCAP because of the great work they do for the homeless in our community. Their street team was already poised to distribute the coats. We are grateful to God for the opportunity and ability to serve our community.

BACKPACKS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

MULTIPLE MYELOMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION (MMRF)

Multiple myeloma is cancer of the plasma cell which helps fight off infection. These cancerous cells build up and eventually damage the body. Myeloma is the second most common blood cancer. The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research. This disease has touched our LPR family.

We support this amazing organization by participating in the MMRF annual 5K fundraiser.
